You already know that our instructors and programming team always go above and beyond to bring best-in-class content to the Box. From our everyday lineup to special themed classes to Halloween extravaganzas, our goal is to entertrain you every moment you tune into obé. But even we have to admit: Our recent collaboration with Disney went beyond our wildest childhood (and adult) dreams.

We brought a set of wicked-cruel themed classes to the Box in honor of the new film, Cruella (now in theaters or on Disney+ with Premier Access for a one-time additional fee). The new film tells the origin story of the classic villainess, set in the 1970s London punk rock revolution.

Inspired by the gritty, rebellious aesthetics of the film, our all-star programming and talent team—Haley Kosup-Kennedy, Tennille Smith-Lopez, and Joel Porter—worked around-the-clock and collaborated closely with our instructors to prep their epic looks.

First, Peter T. went all in, full out in drag with a 45-minute Heels Dance Cardio on Thursday, 5/27. The team scoured their go-to stores to source items that fit his Cruella-inspired look. They sewed sparkly shoulder patches onto Peter’s jacket to step up the rock-and-roll vibes, found the perfect wig that would stay on through the dance cardio, and hemmed the skirt of the tutu to allow him to move freely. Finally, our trusted hair-and-makeup team came into obé HQ the day of the class to transform him into our obé-ified version of Cruella.

Next up: Melody D. and Dorian C. joined forces in the Box on Friday, 5/28 for a killer 60-minute Power + HIIT class—aka the Melorian. (If you know, you know.) They went full-out ‘60s punk rock—yes, they’re superwomen to sweat it out in leather leggings, vest, and gloves.
