Who: Janine T., 32, model and creative who stuck with obé Fitness for the top-tier variety. (Follow her @janinetondu for the fiercest #SweatySelfies.)
How did you originally discover obé?
We can definitely thank covid for this one. I always like to be active and when we had to quarantine, it definitely changed that aspect of life for me. I had reached out on Instagram for workout recommendations since YouTube wasn’t doing it for me and a model friend of mine recommended obé. I haven’t turned back since.
How has life changed since obé?
I enjoy having my variety of workouts at my fingertips—no more worrying about class availability. And it’s nice not to worry about building motivation to leave the house to work out. It’s changed the way I schedule my routines and is easily adaptable day to day to match my work days.
I enjoy monitoring my results, and with the many options offered it never gets boring. I also find the instructors to be super fun and inspiring!
Favorite variety of instructors?
This one’s hard since all obé instructors bring their own magic to class. Michelle B. was one of the first instructors I’ve ever taken at obé (love her!). It’s totally awe-inspiring that she can seriously bring it even while pregnant! I love Walter’s classes, he always brings inspiration, joy, and great words of wisdom. Katherine M. is always a challenge and funny! And Lulu S. for yoga is always magic and such a vibe!
Favorite class variety?
Barre, Yoga, Dance HIIT. Though to be honest, there hasn’t been a class I didn’t like. We love the variety to fit the mood.
